In Film Production and Directing I, students master working with a film crew in the roles of director and producer, learning to develop third-party scripts and collaborate with creative teams across pre-production and  production. Central to this process is defining the ontological position, their core philosophical approach to reality, space and time, as well as translating them into visual storytelling strategies, actor direction, and filming with a film crew. Through hands-on practice, students refine their authorial voice, collaborate with department heads, and create a professional directors and producers package. Throughout this course, students will fully develop, film and edit their project, taking complete creative and practical ownership as both directors and producers.
